Several London Underground stations, including Tower Hill and Kentish Town, are closed due to strike action and engineering works, with further disruptions on other key city transport services.
Several London Underground stations, including Tower Hill and Kentish Town, remain closed due to a combination of strike action and ongoing engineering works. This disruption also extends to other parts of the city’s transport network, affecting rail services operated by Greater Anglia and Southern, as well as London Overground and the Stansted Express.
Particularly impacted are Southern train services linking London Victoria with Havant and Brighton, hindered by an electrical supply malfunction. Problems are also reported on the Overground line running between Liverpool Street and the destinations of Chingford, Cheshunt, and Enfield Town. These delays have partly been caused by a reported trespass incident on the tracks.
Furthermore, Transport for London (TfL) has advised of closures at seven additional Tube stations, including notable locations such as Hyde Park Corner and Southwark, where staff shortages have been cited as the primary reason for the disruptions. Kentish Town station, in particular, is closed for escalator repair works.
As this situation continues to evolve, TfL has recommended that commuters remain aware of updates and consider alternative routes where necessary.
