Humza Yousaf, the First Minister of Scotland, experienced a decline in approval ratings among SNP voters, according to a Norstat poll. His net approval rating dropped to -7%, down from a previous +14% in January. Similarly, Labour’s Sir Keir Starmer and Anas Sarwar also saw decreased approval ratings, standing at -25% and -17% respectively. Both Labour and the SNP are now tied with 32% in Westminster voting intentions in Scotland. The poll suggests that in a forthcoming election, SNP could win 18 seats while Labour might secure 28.

In another survey focused on the Conservative Party, Chancellor Rishi Sunak received his lowest approval rating to date among Tory Party members, scoring -27.7 in a Conservative Home website poll. The poll indicated widespread dissatisfaction within the party, with Immigration Minister Michael Tomlinson registering the lowest score at -43.1. The poll reflects general discontent among grassroots Conservatives with current cabinet members, amidst challenging times as local elections approach on May 2.
