A horrifying discovery was made at Lordship Recreation Ground in Tottenham, north London, where the mutilated remains of a bully breed dog were found near a children’s playground. The gruesome scene, uncovered on a Tuesday morning by a dog walker, included the dog’s severed head, limbs, and a spine that had been sawn in half. Parts of the carcass were also burnt, suggesting an attempt to dispose of the evidence.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) has launched an investigation, led by Animal Rescue Officer Lee Ricketts, who described the incident as deeply distressing. The investigation follows closely after another incident in the same park involving the beating of a large tan bull breed dog, raising concerns about a potential link between the two cases and broader issues of animal cruelty in the area.

The RSPCA has called for anyone with information about the incident to contact their appeals line at 0300 123 8018. The brutality of the act has shocked the community, prompting widespread calls for information and justice for the slain animal.
