A series of deadly tornadoes struck Oklahoma, resulting in the deaths of four individuals, including a four-month-old baby, and causing extensive destruction across the state. The tornadoes affected multiple areas, including Sulphur, Holdenville, Marietta, and Hughes County. The governor, Kevin Stitt, declared a state of emergency in 12 counties following the devastation. He also commented on the severe damage in Sulphur, describing it as the most significant he had witnessed during his tenure.

In Holdenville, the tornado claimed the lives of two people and injured four others late on Saturday. Over 100 residents across Oklahoma sustained injuries in the tornadoes, including 20 inside a sports bar in Sulphur. Extensive property damage was reported, with homes, businesses, and infrastructure such as a Dollar Tree distribution centre in Marietta heavily impacted.

The tornadoes also caused power outages in Oklahoma and Texas, affecting thousands of residents. Rescue and recovery efforts are ongoing as state officials and local communities work to manage the aftermath and begin rebuilding efforts in the devastated regions.
