Peter Abbott has been convicted of using threatening behaviour during a road rage incident at a Tesco petrol station in Bournemouth, following a trial at Poole magistrates court.
Peter Abbott has been found guilty of using threatening behaviour during a road rage incident outside a Tesco petrol station in Bournemouth. The altercation was recorded by Samantha Isaacs, the victim, after Abbott reportedly took issue with Isaacs honking her horn. During the incident, Abbott was seen banging on Isaacs’ car window and verbally assaulting her with derogatory names. This event, which took place in broad daylight, left Isaacs feeling threatened and distressed.
The trial, conducted at Poole magistrates court, heard how Abbott reacted excessively by claiming that Isaacs had provoked him by continuously honking her horn. Despite his defense, the court ruled against him, recognising his behaviour as intentionally threatening and aimed to cause distress. Isaacs, a professional in television production in her 50s, expressed relief at the verdict, describing Abbott as a “horrible man and a bully.”
Abbott now awaits sentencing, facing potential jail time for his actions during the disturbing incident. The exact date for sentencing has yet to be announced.
