Two 17-year-old teenagers have been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Dagenham, where a 19-year-old man was critically injured with stab and gunshot wounds. The event occurred on Whalebone Lane South and resulted in the victim being hospitalized in a life-threatening condition. The accused, who were apprehended in Kent, also face charges of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and are currently held in custody pending a court appearance.

The Metropolitan Police, responding initially to a report of a stabbing and subsequently to reports of gunfire, discovered the severely wounded victim. The case is under investigation by the Met’s Specialist Crime Command (Trident). In connection with the same incident, five men and a woman were arrested but have since been released on bail while investigations continue.
