A series of court cases were heard across Tayside and Fife on Monday, June 24, 2024.

Kirkcaldy Crime:
Alexander McIlravie, 21, pleaded guilty to downloading an indecent video involving a child, which occurred between December 2021 and April 2022. He received a three-year community payback order and was placed on the sex offenders register for three years at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Dundee Ivory Sales:
Joyce Bell, 67, was fined £1,400 for illegally selling elephant ivory items on eBay. The sales were made to international buyers, and she falsely claimed the items were made from bovine bone.

Perth Assault:
Lyndsay Fullerton, 39, assaulted a police officer after being removed from the Bee Bar in Perth. She was fined £250 for her actions.

Perthshire Molestation:
Aaron Watt, a former activities instructor, was jailed for molesting a guest at his Perth home after a Christmas outing.

Driving Offences in Kirkcaldy:
Kirsztofer Kovacs, 25, committed multiple driving offences, including driving while disqualified and using a mobile phone. He was sentenced to 120 hours of unpaid work and received a three-year driving ban.

Edinburgh Violent Abuse:
Anthony Gibson, 36, was convicted of multiple charges, including rape and assault, spanning a 17-year period. He was remanded in custody and faces a lengthy jail sentence.

Perthshire Paedophile Incident:
Barry Grant attempted to orchestrate a meeting to abuse a child via an online platform but was caught by undercover police. He appeared at Perth Sheriff Court for this offense.
