Reform UK MP Lee Anderson was involved in a physical altercation with anti-Brexit campaigner Steve Bray outside the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday. The encounter occurred shortly after Prime Minister’s Questions (PMQs), emerging as a dramatic scene in Westminster that attracted the attention of police.

Eyewitness accounts and video footage reveal a heated confrontation, with Bray, known as “Stop Brexit Man,” vocally targeting Anderson with accusations and insults. Bray reportedly shouted at the MP through a megaphone prior to the incident, branding him “a coward, a thug, a thief”. The exchange intensified as Anderson attempted to remove Bray’s hat, reportedly asserting that “it wouldn’t come off” and may have been “glued on”.

During the squabble, Bray confronted Anderson, asking pointedly, “How many parties have you been in, Lee? You just jump ship whenever it suits you.” The situation escalated as Anderson reached for Bray’s hat; the subsequent attempt led to Bray pushing Anderson in the chest while claiming to nearby police officers, “that’s assault.”

In response, Anderson labelled Bray “a thug” who “needs arresting”, prompting local law enforcement to intervene, which ultimately defused the situation. Following the encounter, Anderson spoke to GB News, describing Bray as “this professional nuisance” and stating, “The sooner this individual is carted off to the job centre, the better.”

The two have a history of clashes, with this altercation highlighting their ongoing feud. Bray, who has established himself as a prominent anti-Brexit presence outside Westminster, later remarked, “He likes the attention. I like to show him up,” indicating that their disputes are part of a long-standing pattern.

The surrounding atmosphere in Parliament was charged, with the public and media observing the unusual blending of political discourse and physical confrontation.
