As interest in unidentified flying objects (UFOs) surges alongside the release of alleged footage and declassified documents, a former high-ranking NASA official has disclosed that the US Air Force supposedly possesses a gravity-defying “flying saucer.” Dr. Gregory Rogers, a retired NASA Chief Flight Surgeon and Air Force Major, claims to have seen security footage of this craft over three decades ago.

Rogers recounted the incident to the Daily Mail, revealing that he was shown the footage in 1992 while stationed at NASA’s Cape Canaveral facility in Florida. At the time, he was overseeing medical care for astronauts and safety inspections on the base. The footage, which he described as depicting a 20-foot-wide, 8 to 10-foot-tall craft with a shallow dome, was shown to him by an unidentified Air Force major who approached him one day after Rogers finished his work for the day.

The major led Rogers into a secured room, where a closed circuit television feed displayed the craft levitating within a hangar. “I know exactly what I saw that day, and it was in no fashion a conventional flying vehicle,” Rogers asserted. He noted the craft appeared smooth, lacking visible rivets, antennas, or control surfaces, and mentioned the presence of devices seemingly emitting electromagnetic charges.

A key moment in the footage came when the craft performed a 45-degree tilt while hovering, an action that Rogers believes indicated unknown propulsion technology. He stated, “None of the aircraft we have can do that,” highlighting the remarkable nature of the manoeuvre. The display culminated in the craft rising smoothly off the ground, rotating to reveal US Air Force insignia.

Rogers expressed his dilemma about disclosing this information, stating that he kept the secret for over 32 years, only choosing to reveal it now as part of a broader wave of disclosures from other Department of Defense (DoD) whistleblowers. He asserted, “I hope that my report may stimulate others to reveal whatever they have similarly witnessed,” reflecting a desire for transparency in the ongoing dialogue surrounding UFOs, or what government entities now label as Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).

The former astronaut medical director has a history of advocating for safety within NASA, having previously raised concerns about the shuttle programme, notably before the tragic 2003 Columbia disaster. He correlated the historical resistance to acknowledging possible threats within NASA with the military’s current reluctance to admit the existence of UAPs. “It’s the same mentality,” he said, underscoring his belief that governmental denial persists despite credible evidence presented by various military and government officials.

As part of his commitment to pursuing the truth about UFOs, Rogers is now involved with the International UFO Bureau (IUFOB) in Oklahoma, a non-profit organisation dedicated to researching encounters and promoting public understanding of UFO phenomena. The IUFOB, founded in 1957, aims to provide data-driven insights and is currently utilising artificial intelligence to analyse reported incidents.

Rogers joins a growing roster of whistleblowers, including notable figures such as David Grusch, who have come forward to discuss alleged US government knowledge of alien technology and crafts, thus contributing to an evolving narrative about the existence of UFOs.

As discussions around UFOs and potential alien technology continue to unfold, the accounts of former officials like Dr. Gregory Rogers serve to heighten curiosity and scrutiny regarding the military’s involvement with unidentified objects and the extent of what may still remain classified.
