Over a week has passed since Riley Strain, a University of Missouri student, went missing during a fraternity trip to Nashville. Last seen on 8th March after being escorted out of a bar, the search for the 22-year-old has gained significant attention and assistance from both volunteers and the local community. Strain, described as a tall, blond-haired, and blue-eyed individual, quickly became the subject of a wide-reaching search effort, particularly along the Cumberland River area.

Recently, a new development emerged as Strain’s bank card was discovered near the Cumberland River, marking a potential clue in the ongoing investigation into his disappearance. Despite this find, authorities have not yet determined Strain’s whereabouts, and there have been no significant leads from the ongoing searches, which have included both land and aerial resources.

Following his disappearance, it was confirmed that Strain had not been heavily drinking the night he vanished. Security footage showed him leaving the bar and walking in the opposite direction of his hotel, with the last sighting of him near Gay Street. There have been unconfirmed reports from homeless individuals in the area alleging they saw him the night he disappeared, but these have not led to a breakthrough in the case.

Throughout this period, Riley’s parents, Michelle and Chris Whiteid, have remained actively involved in the search and have expressed their gratitude for the widespread community support. The police have indicated that there is currently no evidence of foul play in Riley’s disappearance.

As the search continues, both the family and the authorities are holding onto hope for Riley Strain’s safe return, with the community rallying together in support of the ongoing efforts to locate him.
