On the second day of the Randox Grand National Festival at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool, more than 50,000 racegoers descended upon the event, eager to showcase their fashion flair and partake in the festivities. Ladies Day, renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and eye-catching attire, was graced with pleasantly warm weather, reaching a notable 19 degrees Celsius. This temperature closely approached the record of 19.5 degrees set in 2015, marking it as one of the hottest Ladies Days in Aintree’s history.

The scene was bright with an array of stylish outfits, including elegantly designed dresses, perfectly coordinated hats, heels, and fascinators. Revellers took to the grounds in a spirit of joyful celebration, with many enjoying Champagne as they mingled and enjoyed the day’s events. The racing festival, a highlight of the sporting calendar, saw not only the excitement of horse racing but also showcased the creativity and fashion prowess of its attendees.

Among the day’s festivities, one of the standout events was the Aintree Style Awards. Judges faced the difficult task of selecting the most fabulous and best-dressed guests, alongside recognising those sporting sustainable “reused” outfits. This facet of the day emphasised participants’ commitment to style while promoting environmental awareness.

As the day progressed, the combination of thrilling races and the atmosphere of glamour continued to captivate those in attendance at Aintree Racecourse. The ongoing celebrations reflected both the traditional aspects of horse racing and the modern interpretation of style and elegance synonymous with Ladies Day.
