Alina Habba, known for her involvement in high-profile legal cases, joins Donald Trump’s team as a legal adviser during his trial over payments to Stormy Daniels, aiming to provide transparency while the former president faces a gag order.
Alina Habba, an attorney with a history of engaging in high-profile cases, has taken up the role of “legal adviser” for Donald Trump during his criminal trial over hush money payments to Stormy Daniels. Although not representing Trump as his lawyer in the case, Habba plans to offer public commentary and insights while the former president is restricted by a gag order. She stated her intentions to ensure transparency by speaking candidly about the trial details.
This announcement was made during her appearance on “The Benny Show,” where Habba declared she would “spit the truth” regarding the proceedings. She described the trial as a “sham” and implied it was strategically timed to coincide with Trump’s potential reelection campaign. Furthermore, Habba expressed her skepticism about the venue of the trial—New York—highlighting what she perceives as a politically motivated bias against Trump.
Habba also openly criticised the judge overseeing the case, Juan Merchan, suggesting that his recusal would be appropriate due to potential impartiality issues. Her previous legal involvements with Trump include cases concerning E. Jean Carroll and Hillary Clinton, which have been notably challenging.
