A shooting incident in Las Vegas and a murder in London have resulted in the deaths of four people, sparking major police investigations in both cities. Authorities are calling for witnesses to aid in their inquiries.
On the morning of April 8, 2024, a shooting incident occurred inside a business establishment near Pavilion Center Drive and Charleston Blvd in Las Vegas, resulting in the death of three people, including a suspected perpetrator. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department quickly responded to the scene, advising the public to avoid the area while they secured the location and initiated investigations. Local roads around the incident scene were closed to traffic as the police worked. Details regarding the identities of the individuals involved or the motive behind the shooting were not immediately released, and the situation remains under investigation.
In a separate incident in West Kensington, London, a 21-year-old man named Khuedr Al Kurdi has been charged with the murder of Janayo Lucima, who was shot dead on Comeragh Road on Easter Monday. Despite attempts to save him, Lucima was pronounced dead at the scene. The Metropolitan Police have called for witnesses, particularly those in the area between 9.40pm and 10.30pm on the night of the incident, to come forward with any information or dashcam footage that could assist the investigation. Al Kurdi is scheduled to appear in court, with the case expected to move to crown court for further proceedings. Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie has encouraged the public’s cooperation to aid in serving justice for the victim and his family.
