Victoria police have ramped up their search for a missing Ballarat woman following an arrest, while in Manchester, three teenagers face murder charges over a fatal stabbing.
Victoria police have intensified their search efforts for Samantha Murphy, a Ballarat woman who has been missing for over two months. The operation concentrates on Enfield State Park following the arrest and charging of Patrick Stephenson with her murder. The police have mobilized detectives and specialist units for the search based on new intelligence. Samantha Murphy was reported missing after not returning from a morning run. Stephenson, the accused, remains in custody and will face court proceedings in August.
In a separate incident in Manchester, three 16-year-old boys have been charged with the murder of Prince Walker, who was fatally stabbed last week in the Moss Side area. The teenage suspects are currently held in custody and await their court appearance scheduled for April 11 at Manchester Youth Court. The incident prompted a murder investigation by Greater Manchester Police, and the victim’s family is being supported during this time. The police are calling for anyone with information about the stabbing to come forward.
