Former UK Prime Minister, now Lord David Cameron, has confirmed that he will not serve under a Labour government led by Sir Keir Starmer, despite suggestions from his allies about staying on as Foreign Secretary. In an interview on Good Morning Britain, he asserted his loyalty to the Conservative Party and praised the leadership abilities of Rishi Sunak, the current Prime Minister. Lord Cameron, who serves as Foreign Secretary, expressed his satisfaction with his role and specifically ruled out any possibility of returning to the position of Prime Minister.

Additionally, during his recent trip to the US, Lord Cameron met with former US President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, where discussions focused on Ukraine rather than past personal criticisms. He also met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to discuss NATO spending commitments and geopolitical tensions. His visit aimed at strengthening UK-US relations and advocating for continued support for Ukraine among Republican lawmakers.

In response to recent tensions in the Middle East, specifically an attack by Iran on Israeli territory, Lord Cameron urged Israel to focus on countering Hamas rather than escalating conflict with Iran. He praised Israel’s defensive response and discussed the possibility of coordinating with G7 partners on imposing additional sanctions on Iran if necessary. He emphasized de-escalation and diplomatic efforts to secure peace in the region, encouraging a focus on negotiations for a ceasefire and the release of hostages held by Hamas.
