DTW Ignite 2025, scheduled to take place at Copenhagen’s Bella Center later this month, promises to draw thousands of delegates from the global telecommunications sector. Building on the success of last year’s event, which welcomed over 4,000 visitors, this year’s conference, organised by the TM Forum, will focus on three pivotal themes: Autonomous Networks, AI & Data, and Composable IT & Ecosystems. As anticipation builds ahead of the event, The Fast Mode’s Principal Analyst, Ariana Lynn, engaged with Jeremy Villalobos, CEO and Board Member of Orchest Technologies, to explore the company’s initiatives and insights related to these themes.

Orchest Automation plans to take a central role at DTW Ignite by showcasing its Orchesto platform, which is designed to empower operators in emerging markets to embrace the TM Forum’s Open Digital Architecture (ODA) through a composable IT framework. Villalobos highlighted that by utilising modular components, Orchesto enhances Communication Service Providers’ (CSPs) abilities to expedite service deployment, streamline operations, and achieve seamless integration with legacy systems. The current focus on the “Composable IT and Ecosystems” track underlines Orchest’s commitment to fostering agility and scalability across operations. In an exciting forward-looking statement, Villalobos noted, “We are integrating AI capabilities into Orchesto to unlock intelligent decision-making, predictive automation, and dynamic resource optimisation,” which aligns with the broader industry momentum towards Autonomous Networks.

As digital transformation revolutionises the telecommunications landscape, Villalobos identified the maturing automation processes as a critical trend that will gain traction over the next year. He emphasised that robust API integration among carriers is essential for creating comprehensive interconnections that will facilitate seamless data exchange and operational efficiency. This evolution is particularly evident in private Generative AI applications that enhance customer support and streamline operational tasks. The potential for these applications to alleviate manual workloads allows telecom providers to focus on more strategic initiatives, vital for maintaining competitiveness in a rapidly evolving marketplace.

The influence of artificial intelligence, especially Generative AI, is forecasted to be transformative for the telco industry. Villalobos pointed out that private GenAI applications focused on improving customer interactions could significantly enhance service requests, technical support, and general user engagement. By allowing customers to connect through their preferred communication channels—such as messaging apps and chatbots—these technologies promise to refine the user experience, reducing friction typically associated with traditional platforms. He elaborated that predictive analytics enabled by AI could lead to enhanced customer retention through personalised services and needs anticipation. Ultimately, this integration is set to redefine customer interactions and operational efficiency in profound ways.

Orchest Technologies has also strengthened its market position by forming a strategic partnership with Sparkle, Italy’s leading international service provider. This collaboration aims to enhance network coverage and facilitate the adoption of Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) solutions across Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe. By interconnecting their networks and leveraging automated processes, these two companies aim to deliver reliable and flexible connectivity solutions, making substantial strides in NaaS. This partnership exemplifies how industry leaders are utilising MEF LSO APIs to automate service orchestration, thus promoting a seamless, real-time service environment.

In an era where digital transformation is paramount, the DTW Ignite event stands as a platform for industry stakeholders to exchange ideas, showcase innovations, and collaborate on the future of telecommunications. Notably, the push towards intelligent network operations, underpinned by AI and automation, will be at the forefront of discussions, encapsulating the fundamental shifts occurring in the industry.
