Prince Harry, along with celebrities such as Sir Elton John and actresses Sadie Frost and Liz Hurley, has filed a High Court claim against the publisher of the Daily Mail, Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL). The claim accuses ANL of engaging in unlawful information gathering activities, including phone hacking, voicemail interception, and the use of listening devices. The legal documents name approximately 70 current and former journalists, including editors from the Sun, Times, Sunday Times, and Mail on Sunday, alleging involvement in these practices.

ANL has denied the accusations, labeling them as “preposterous” and asserting that their journalists adhere to professional standards. The case, still in its preliminary stages, is expected to go to trial next year at the earliest. Spokespeople for the newspapers involved have declined to comment on the ongoing legal proceedings.

As this legal battle unfolds, both parties are preparing to present more detailed arguments in court regarding the alleged misconduct.
