Samsung and Unitherm UK Announce Partnership to Deliver Advanced Heating Solutions
Samsung Climate Solutions and Unitherm (UK) have formed a strategic partnership to provide cutting-edge heating solutions for the UK’s domestic and commercial markets. Unitherm, established in 2020, specializes in energy-efficient heating systems, while Samsung Climate Solutions, founded seven years ago, aims to support the UK in achieving its net-zero emissions target by 2050.
Andy Hooper, Managing Director at Unitherm (UK) Ltd., highlighted the partnership’s significance, praising Samsung’s continuous innovation in HVAC systems. The latest offering, the EHS Mono R290 heat pump, features a very low Global Warming Potential (GWP) of three and integrates seamlessly with Samsung’s EHS Cloud Service for remote diagnostics.
Kevin O’Leary, Business Manager at Samsung Climate Solutions, emphasized the growth prospects this partnership offers, noting Unitherm’s expertise and customer service align perfectly with Samsung’s goals. The EHS Mono R290 heat pump, suited for both new builds and renovations, provides a flow temperature up to 75 °C and operates at noise levels as low as 35 dB(A), utilizing Propane (R290) as a refrigerant. Samsung’s products are future-proofed for upcoming F-gas regulations and can connect to the SmartThings app for energy optimization.
Modine Expands EVantage Portfolio with New Cabin Climate System
Modine, a leader in thermal management technology, has expanded its EVantage portfolio with the launch of the Cabin Climate System (CCS). This new system provides precise temperature control for commercial, off-highway, and specialty electric vehicles (EVs), ensuring optimal passenger comfort with 12kW of cooling and 10kW of heating capacity.
Sarah Williams, Product Manager at Modine, explained that the CCS simplifies integration into existing EV HVAC systems, enhancing passenger comfort and vehicle operation. The system’s modular design, lightweight components, and high-performance capabilities make it suitable for various vehicle applications.
Gina Maria Bonini, Vice President at Modine, expressed that this expansion into cabin climate solutions demonstrates Modine’s commitment to innovation and efficiency. The CCS incorporates a master thermal controller and proprietary heat exchangers to provide heating and cooling while simplifying design complexity.
