Sean Combs, known as ‘Diddy’, has filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit alleging that he was involved in the rape of a 17-year-old girl in a New York studio in 2003. The lawsuit, lodged by a woman currently residing in Canada, claims she was invited to New York by the then-president of Combs’ record label, where she was given drugs and alcohol, and subsequently raped by Combs and two others. Combs has described the allegations as “false and hideous.”

The motion to dismiss is based on the assertion that the lawsuit was filed after the expiration of the legal timeframe allowed for such claims. This legal action is part of over 3,700 cases brought under New York’s Adult Survivors Act. Additionally, the court has mandated the claimant to disclose her identity for the case to continue.

This legal challenge follows a previous lawsuit by an individual named Cassie, which was quickly settled. Furthermore, Combs’ properties have been the subject of searches by Homeland Security Investigations amid an unrelated sex-trafficking probe, though Combs has not been formally charged in connection with these investigations. The case continues to be contested under New York City’s Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Law.
