National Grid Electricity Transmission and SP Energy Networks have chosen Siemens Energy as the preferred bidder to deliver two high voltage direct current (HVDC) converter stations as part of the Eastern Green Link 4 (EGL4) project, marking a pivotal move toward expanding the UK’s electricity transmission infrastructure.
