Authorities in Bristol are conducting an intensified search for 23-year-old Jack O’Sullivan, who has been missing since March 2, 2024, after he was last seen following a night out with friends. Last observed walking alone near a dockyard in the early hours, his disappearance has prompted widespread concern and an urgent appeal for information from both the police and his family.

Jack’s mother, Catherine, shared her distress and the family’s desperate need for answers on BBC Breakfast, noting the added pain of his absence during his recent 23rd birthday. Despite efforts to locate him, including reviewing CCTV footage and employing a dive team, Jack’s whereabouts remain a mystery. He was reported to have attempted a phone call to a friend shortly before he vanished, but the call was unexpectedly terminated.

The missing man is described as white, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a slim build and short, brown hair. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a quilted green/brown Barbour jacket, beige woolen jumper, navy chinos, and brown leather trainers with white soles.

Police have called for public assistance in tracing Jack, urging anyone with information, possible sightings, or access to CCTV footage that could shed light on the situation to come forward. The Avon and Somerset Police are handling the case, under the reference number 5224055172.

Detective Inspector Jason Chidgey emphasized the importance of any piece of information, no matter how small, and encouraged the community to stay vigilant in helping to find Jack. The gap in knowledge about his movements, especially the three-and-a-half-hour period between his departure from the party and the last signal from his phone, remains a critical puzzle in understanding what happened to him that night.
