Kamonnan Thiamphanit, a 27-year-old woman, was found stabbed to death in her flat in Stanhope Place, Bayswater, Westminster. The Metropolitan Police discovered her body after a friend raised concerns about her welfare, prompting police officers to force entry into her residence 12 hours later. The incident occurred near Hyde Park in a Grade II listed building dating from the 1820s.

The police have not yet made any arrests related to the case. A post-mortem examination concluded that the cause of death was sharp force trauma. Detective Chief Inspector Adam Clifton of the Metropolitan Police has urged the public to provide any information that might assist in the investigation.

The delay in the police response to the initial welfare call has led the Metropolitan Police to refer the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct for review. The murder has profoundly affected Kamonnan’s family and friends, as well as the local community, with many expressing their devastation and shock.

The investigation continues as authorities seek to gather more information and piece together the events leading up to Kamonnan Thiamphanit’s death.
