On May 3, 2024, a tourist bus accident in Manavgat, a district of Antalya, Turkey, resulted in injuries to 11 British nationals and an Irish tourist. The crash involved the bus overturning and hitting a pole. Among the injured, a 53-year-old British man is reported to be in critical condition. Additionally, three staff members of the tour company were also hurt in the incident.

The tourists were on an excursion with Panter Safari, which operates pink buses featuring Pink Panther branding, and conducts tours around the Antalya region. Emergency services responded to the scene, providing first aid before transporting the injured to local hospitals for further treatment.

Authorities in Turkey have initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident. The UK’s Foreign Office has acknowledged the incident and is offering consular support to the British nationals involved, maintaining communication with the Turkish officials handling the situation.
