A 28-year-old senior constable from New South Wales Police was suspended following multiple charges related to domestic violence. The officer, yet to be named, faces five counts of assault, three counts of stalking, and two counts of harassment, compounded by an earlier charge of accessing restricted data. The arrest occurred after investigations initiated in November 2023 into reported domestic incidents. Released on bail, the officer is scheduled to appear in court on May 16.

In a separate incident in the UK, former North Wales Police constables, Terrence Flanagan and Iwan Williams, were found guilty of gross misconduct over derogatory comments about a domestic abuse victim and peers, caught on body-worn cameras. These revelations emerged during a misconduct hearing, which they did not attend due to prior resignation. Chief Constable Amanda Blakeman articulated zero tolerance for such behaviour, affirming a commitment to professional conduct and respect within the force. The ex-officers have since been placed on a ‘Barred List,’ effectively banning them from future police service in the UK.
