The King’s Trust, previously known as The Prince’s Trust, hosted a celebratory gala in New York City to mark its rebrand and the expansion of its operations in the United States. Originally established in the UK in 1976 by King Charles III, the charity has extended its reach to 25 countries, focusing on assisting young people with employment opportunities.

The event featured a variety of celebrity supporters, including Lionel Richie, who praised King Charles’ ongoing commitment to the cause despite his health challenges. Other notable attendees included singers Sam Smith and John Legend, actor Dominic West, and actress Michaela Jae Rodriguez, all of whom stressed the importance of supporting youth-related philanthropic efforts.

Victoria Gore, CEO of The King’s Trust USA, highlighted the organization’s strategic plans for expansion, which involve collaborating with local communities to address their specific needs. The Trust has already made a significant impact in cities like Chicago, where a young individual, Nakya Weeks, was inspired by the Trust’s Enterprise Challenge to pursue her aspirations.

Additionally, the charity is set to introduce an American version of its Get Hired program, which aims to further aid young adults in their career development. The gala not only celebrated the Trust’s new chapter but also emphasized the role of philanthropy in positively influencing the lives of young people.
